Christine created ONEHEARTBEAT which evolved through caring for her mother with Alzheimers and Vascular Dementia. Creating handmade crafts was her coping mechanism and inspired by her passion – mother nature.
When you become a carer, you have tunnel vision. In that your path in life is focused solely on the person you love, you don’t have the life you once had and sacrifices are made. You also do not recognise or see the beautiful surroundings around you. Christine’s mother had a fabulous garden, she used to spend many an hour keeping the garden in order – hence the creation of ’emotional crafts.’
Now, many years later, with all that emotion poured into her craft’s, her mother settled, she then wanted to expand her handmade crafts. She no longer creates ’emotional crafts’ as time has healed this experience, however, if asked to create a bespoke piece of art, she is more than willing to do so.
Christine has a passion for creating beautiful and stunning pieces of art, inspired by mother nature – appropriate don’t you think?!
Christine has expanded her crafts to also include Macramé, from hanging baskets to designing Macramé on recycled bottles, to help save the planet. She is now ‘branching out’ with the opportunity to show her crafts at Bluebell Pottery and Gift Shop based in Padiham. You may also see Christine in the Market Hall at Rawtenstall, which is based behind the open market.
Christine has full insurance, DBS checked and is available to create handmade crafts such as centre pieces for weddings, christenings, special events and if you wish to surprise someone with a gift for that special occasion then please contact Christine via mobile 07966 399484 for prices, visit her contact page or via social media:
